The new season of Wie is de Mol? starts this weekend. The official iOS app is ready again. The application lets you compete against your friends in the battle to find the mole.
Who is the Mol iOS app for 2020
Who is the mole? 2020 starts next Saturday (January 11) at 8:30 PM on NPO1. The candidates have now been announced and the game will be played in China this year. The iOS app, which you can play with just like last year, has also been updated. Because of this you have to create a new account or log in via Facebook. Little has changed in the design of the app compared to last year, except of course that all new candidates have been incorporated.
Still, the app is a fun way to experience the series, by competing with your friends via a pool. It is also useful that there is a ‘News’ section in the fold-out menu, which keeps you informed of all developments around the program.

Suspicion game
The idea of the app is that every week, before the new episode starts, you’ll be handing out points to the candidates you suspect as the mole. If that candidate goes home in the next episode, you will lose the points you have bet on this person. This means that you can bet fewer points the following week. However: all points you have bet on candidates still in the game are doubled. If you lose all your points, you are out of the game.
So you have to keep a close eye on who you suspect and who you don’t during the program. And is it smart to divide your points, or to focus on one candidate? The latter gives you more points, but it is also a big risk if this candidate has to leave the game.
groups
The suspicion game is a fun interactive part, but it only gets really cool when you participate in groups. You can set up your own group or join a group of friends.
You start a pool by tapping ‘Pools’ in the drop-down menu and then on the plus sign at the bottom right of the screen to create a new pool. After you have given the pool a name, it is created and you are in it yourself.

A nice feature of the app is that you can share an invitation link. To do this, tap the figure with the plus sign in the bottom right corner of the pool screen. Tap Share Invite Link to share a link in an app of your choice, or copy the link to send it to someone. Handy, for example, to send the link in a WhatsApp group in order to find enthusiastic participants for your group.
Every week the app has a ranking with who is the best in terms of points. There are also statistics from all users of the app about which candidates are the most suspicious.
