The new Polestar brand starts selling the Polestar 2. The all-electric fastback can be ordered from now on.

The Polestar 2 was already bookable, but from now on you can actually order the car. People who place an order from a pre-registration will receive their car from July. For anyone who has not made a reservation, the brand also opens the order books, but those orders are processed a little later. Polestar promises that if you order now, you can drive this year.

For the time being, the brand offers a richly equipped version, which costs 59,800 euros. It is equipped with two electric motors with a combined power of 300 kW (408 hp). The 78 kWh battery pack is good for a range of 470 kilometers. The car is equipped as standard with LED headlights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, an extensive infotainment and navigation system with 11.1-inch touch screen, a Harman Kardon audio system, heated seats, cruise control with remote radar, a panoramic roof and various smart driver assistance systems.

Polestar is a new brand previously known as Volvo’s home tuner. Like the Swedish brand, Polestar is part of the Chinese car manufacturer Geely. The first model is the Polestar 1, a hybrid coupé based on the Volvo S90. The Polestar 2 is fully electrically powered, just like all future models of the brand.
