Polestar 2 can now really be ordered

Reservations were already possible, but from today the fully electric Polestar 2 can be ordered for everyone in the Netherlands. The delivery of previously reserved copies should start in July, although there is of course a considerable dose of uncertainty at the moment.

The promising Tesla Model 3 competitor Polestar 2 has already received a final Dutch price, so there is actually no news to report in that area. Interestingly, the Pilot package and Plus package are included in the base price for the time being. In other words: for € 59,800 you get into a Polestar with Pilot Assist and an impressive range of other driving aids. Thanks to the standard Plus package, luxury items such as the panoramic glass roof, Harman Kardon audio and heated seats are always present.

If you want to stay below the 60 mille limit, you have to settle for a black Polestar, because all other colors cost an extra 1,000 euros. As with the 1, Polestar only offers a choice of subdued, civilized shades such as gray, dark blue and white. Three colorways are available for the interior. You can further dress up with a Performance package, which offers larger wheels, bigger brakes and yellow belts for 6 mille. A folding towbar is also possible.

At first glance, the ordering process of the car has striking similarities with that of a Tesla. The sleek, white web page offers a choice of a clear number of options, after which you can immediately opt for a financing option. Also in terms of price, the Polestar 2 is close to its major Tesla rival. Where the Model 3 Long Range offers 560 theoretical kilometers for € 59,995 (as with Polestar incl. Delivery costs), the Volvo brother promises just under 60 mille about 500 km.

Polestar promises that first deliveries are scheduled for July 2020. If you have previously reserved the car, it is of course the first turn. As far as we are concerned, this promise also deserves a big blow, as the car industry is currently shaking on the ground with the rest of the world thanks to the corona virus.
