Porsche installs a considerably larger engine in the updated GTS version of the 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster. The 2.5 four-cylinder engine is being replaced by a 4.0-liter unit with six cylinders.

Porsche upgrades the engine of the 718 Cayman and Boxster GTS to a 4.0 six-cylinder without turbo. It is the same engine as the brand delivers in the top models GT4 and Spyder, but with 20 hp less power. The gain compared to the old 2.5 engine is, however, substantial, 35 hp get the GTS models. This brings the power to 400 hp.

The performance is therefore slightly sharpened, the Cayman and Boxster GTS now accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 293 km / h. The engine is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox. Other technical adjustments include the sports exhaust system with pipes placed in the middle of the rear bumper and a 20 mm lowered chassis. As an option at no extra cost, Porsche supplies the GTS models with active suspension, giving the car a more multifunctional character.

The 718 Cayman GTS and 718 Spyder GTS can be recognized by the dark accents, the modified rear bumper, the specific 20-inch alloy wheels and the various sporty enhancements in the interior.

The updated versions can be ordered immediately. The Cayman GTS costs 137,200 euros, the Boxster GTS 2,100 euros more.
