Porsche 718 Spyder RS

The Porsche 718 Spyder RS is the absolute masterpiece of the 718 Boxster. The 500 hp extremist was presented in the middle of last year. AutoWeek can now be the first to report what the 718 Spyder RS should cost in the Netherlands. A hint: a lot.

In May 2023, Porsche came up with a solution for those who found the fixed roof to be the biggest disadvantage of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. It conjured up the Porsche 718 Spyder RS, the most hardcore version of the 718 Boxster. Behind the winged and trained Porsche 718 Spyder RS lies the same naturally aspirated machine as in the 911 GT3, a 500 hp and 450 Nm strong 4.0 six-cylinder boxer. Porsche did not yet release the Dutch price of the 718 Spyder RS at the time. Before Porsche itself makes it public, AutoWeek can tell you what the hardest, fastest and sportiest open 718 ever should cost.

The Porsche 718 Spyder RS costs around €529 per horsepower, but unfortunately for your wallet, he only has 500 of them. The Dutch starting price is €264,400. This makes it considerably more expensive than the closed Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS of which it is the open equivalent. As of this year, it will be in the order books from €257,800. Last year, the starting price of the top version of the 718 Cayman was €11,500 lower. Anyone who is in a position to be able to spend this kind of money on a ‘special car’ will probably not be surprised by ten thousand more or less.

Here you can read everything about the Porsche 718 Spyder RS. The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS is not the only member of the 718 family that is becoming more expensive. Depending on the model chosen – and there are quite a few – the 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster will be around €3,300 to €9,400 more expensive than last year.
