The lightest Carrera

Just like the previous generation Porsche 911, the brand of the 992 generation now releases a 911 Carrera T: a variant with the engine from the basic Carrera, but with manual gearbox and a few things as standard that improve the steering behavior.
After the unveiling of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS of the 992 generation, the men and women from Stuttgart continue to expand the 911 range. The next offspring is the 911 Carrera T, which stands for Touring. In addition to the Turbos, homeless, GTs and Carreras, it is the 25th variant of the Porsche 911 that you can now configure. The Carrera T is recognizable by gray mirror caps, stripes and 20-inch wheels. In addition, the T is always equipped with the sports exhaust, so with two oval tailpipes.
Standard sporty
That exhaust should provide a sportier driving experience, because that is what the Carrera T is all about. In terms of motor, the car is the same as the basic Carrera. That means that there is a 6-cylinder boxer with 385 hp and 450 Nm of torque in the ass. As standard, it is linked to a 7-speed manual gearbox, which is not available in a Carrera. An 8-speed PDK is optional. The brand communicates a top speed of 291 km/h and a time of 4.5 seconds for the standard sprint, which probably applies to the version with PDK. Traction should never be a problem: Porsche folds 30.5 cm wide tires around the 20-inch rear wheels, over which the forces are accurately distributed by the limited-slip differential, which is standard in the Carrera T.
The oval tailpipes, gray wheels, side stripes and mirror caps characterize the Carrera T.
The Sport Chrono package, a sports suspension, sports seats and the so-called GT sports steering wheel are always present on the Touring and should underline the pretensions. Porsche omits a rear seat in the Carrera T to save weight. Partly because of this, the total weight of this version is 1,470 kg. This makes it 35 kg lighter than the 911 Carrera (which always has a PDK automatic transmission). Furthermore, the interior of the T is characterized by some standard details, such as colored belts and matte black dashboard frames.
Fifth modern T
The new 911 Carrera T is, after that of the 991 generation, the second modern 911 that Porsche offers in T-gear. With the previous 911, the brand brought the label back, having last offered a Touring variant of the sports car in 1974. Since the introduction of the 991-911 Carrera T, the brand has also released a T variant of the Cayman, Boxster and Macan. The new 992 Carrera T is thus the fifth Porsche to follow the modern T recipe. Ordering is possible from today, prices will follow soon.
