Porsche presents the Vision Gran Turismo. A special contoured circuit racer that anyone can drive. There is only one small caveat.
The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo can only be driven virtually. And you must have a Playstation. The car will appear in the racing game Gran Turismo 7, which will be released in March 2022. For years, numerous car manufacturers have indulged in unlimited amounts at the drawing board for the game, resulting in a whole series of purely digital extreme sports cars. This Porsche is now also included.
The two-seater track monster is somewhere in between an LMP car and a street-legal sports coupe and frankly, Porsche could look back on it again in the future for inspiration for a street-legal model. It is certainly not completely impossible to translate something like this into a production model.
For the time being, however, that is not the case and it remains with digital enjoyment of the no less than 1,300 hp that this electric monster can release on the virtual asphalt. In just 2.1 seconds you can already reach 100 km/h from a standstill and from 0-200 km/h is beeped in 5.4 seconds. At 350 km/h the cake is finished. The four-wheel drive Vision Gran Turismo can also theoretically cover 500 WLPT kilometers, although it seems to us that you will get a lot less far in an average race. Nice detail: Porsche talks about the use of vegan materials in the interior. It’s nice that no digital cattle have been referred to the afterlife.
