Every advantage has its disadvantage. So what you give in to headroom in the Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV, you get in return in range. Because with its streamlined, surprisingly beautiful coupé body, the electro-Czech cuts through the wind more easily than the regular Skoda Enyaq iV.
Are we surprised that Skoda comes with a coupé version of the popular Enyaq iV? New. Firstly, the brand has almost completely teased the new SUV. And secondly, there is also a version with a low roofline of the technically identical Audi Q4 E-Tron and Volkswagen ID.4: the Audi Q4 Sportback E-Tron and Volkswagen ID.5.
Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV is certainly not an ugly duckling
What the Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV has in common with its stable mates is its amazingly beautiful appearance. In general, coupé SUVs are the ugly ducklings in SUV land, with weird proportions and failed rears, but the Volkswagen Group is showing that it can be done differently. As far as we are concerned, the Enyaq Coupé iV is absolutely successful.
A little less head and luggage space
But then the question is: what’s in it for you? Due to the sloping roof, the volume of the luggage compartment has become 15 liters smaller (570 compared to 585 liters) and you are also more likely to sit in the back seat with your crown against the roof. To make you feel less claustrophobic, Skoda gives you a panoramic glass roof on the Enyaq Coupé iV as standard.
Better streamline, so more range kilometers
The slimmer-looking Enyaq also has an advantage. Due to its better streamline, on paper a few more range kilometers are added. The regular Skoda Enyaq iV 80 can reach a maximum of 537 kilometers on a full battery. The same version as the coupé buzzes almost 10 kilometers away.
New Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV also as sporty RS
There are four engine variants of the Enyaq Coupé iV: the 60 (180 hp, 58 kWh, rear-wheel drive), the 80 (204 hp, 77 kWh, also rear-wheel drive), the 80x (265 hp, 77 kWh, all-wheel drive) and the RS ( 306 hp, 77 kWh, also four-wheel drive). The latter is a brother of the Volkswagen ID.5 GTX and is not limited to 160 km/h, like the other Enyaqs, but to 180 km/h.
In May at the Skoda dealers. Non RS versions in July
It is the Enyaq Coupé iV RS that will be the first to appear at dealers in May. In this way, Skoda can first skim the upper part of the market. The more affordable versions will be launched in July. Good to know: the models with rear-wheel drive are suitable for towing a caravan of 1200 kilos. The 4WD variants are allowed on the road with 1400 kilos on the towbar.
