Extra long breath or extra muscle strength?

MG is expanding the Dutch delivery range with two interesting engine versions of the MG 4 Electric. The MG 4 Electric was already available as Standard, Comfort and Luxury and is now also coming to the Netherlands as a Trophy Extended Range with extra long range and as a fantastic X-Power. AutoWeek has the prices.
In the market for an electric hatchback? Then you can turn to MG for the MG 4. That ID3 competitor is already available in three flavors and two new versions are now being added. Each of those new variants are superlatives. We are talking about the MG 4 Electric Trophy Extended Range and the absolute top version called X-Power.
MG 4 Trophy Extended Range
The MG 4 Trophy Extended Range is, as its name suggests, the engine version of the MG 4 with the longest range. The MG 4 Trophy Extended Range is the only one of the 4 family to have a 77 kWh battery. That package provides energy to a 245 hp electric motor that drives the rear wheels. Its range is more than 520 kilometers. The MG 4 Trophy Extended Range costs €41,285 in the Netherlands.
For comparison: the MG 4 Standard has a 51 kWh battery and a 170 hp electric heart and kicks it up to a range of 350 kilometers. The Comfort positioned above this is 204 hp strong, has a 64 kWh battery and a range of 450 kilometers. The Luxury has the same hardware as the Comfort, but has a smaller range (435 kilometers) due to larger wheels.
MG4XPower
The absolute tastemaker of the MG 4 family is the XPower. The sporty and four-wheel drive top version has two electric motors that together produce 435 hp and 600 Nm. The same battery as in the Comfort and Luxury is located in the bottom. So the 64 kWh large package. This gives the MG 4 XPower an electric range of 385 kilometers. You can sprint from a standstill to a speed of 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Its top speed: 200 km/h. Fast charging is possible with up to 140 kW, the XPower also scores better in that area than the versions with 51 kWh (117 kW) or 64 kWh (135 kW) batteries.
How much does that electro fun cost you? €42,285. Only €1,000 more than the Trophy Extended Range costs. For that €1,000 extra you get mountains of extra horsepower, but also a considerably smaller range.
