Wondering what amounts you should pay for the renewed Kia Picanto? Then we have good news. The Dutch importer has released the prices of the facelifted Picanto.
In June, Kia presented the updated Picanto to the world. The facelifted hatchback not only got a new muzzle and a modernized rear, but also got acquainted with two completely new engines. For example, the old 100 hp 1.0 is replaced by a completely new 1.0 T-GDI of the Smartstream generation, a machine that, like the block it replaces, delivers 100 hp. Those who settle for less power can order the Picanto with 67 hp 1.0 DPi from Kia. That atmospheric 1.0 is available for the first time with an AMT transmission, a robotized manual gearbox that is a lot cheaper than a regular automatic transmission at the bottom of the line. You do have to pay extra for that gearbox, because a manual five-speed gearbox is standard.
The Kia Picanto was not only revised on the outside and on a technical level, the interior of the compact Korean was also refreshed. For example, Kia claims to have improved the use of materials. More interesting is the arrival of a new 8-inch screen that comes with the optional navigation system. Between the clocks, Kia places a new 4.2-inch display on which important information can be displayed. The Picanto is also available as a four- and five-seater.
Equipment
Kia supplies the Picanto in various versions. The entry-level model is called ComfortLine, a version that comes standard with features such as a DAB + radio with Bluetooth connectivity and steering wheel controls, air conditioning, cruise control, a speed limiter and electrically operated windows for both the front and rear occupants. Automatic lighting and the digital display between the clocks are also standard. Other versions: the DynamicLine, DynamicPlusLine, the sporty GT-Line and the X-Line drenched in adventurous design elements.
Prices
The starting price of the new Kia Picanto has been set at € 14,695. That amount is for the Picanto 1.0 DPi as ComfortLine. This is the manual version with four seats.
