From mid-April 2022 from Toyota the well-known Aygo by the Aygo X. This crossover is quite different, but not really much more expensive than the outgoing hatchback. Here are the prices for purchase or private lease.

The Toyota Aygo X will arrive in showrooms in mid-April next year. It is a completely redesigned city car, an ‘urban crossover’ that will replace the current Aygo hatchback. Playfully designed, larger than its predecessor, with new techniques that should be better than those in the Aygo. Yet the newcomer is hardly more expensive than the outgoing model. The purchase prices start at 15,995 euros. Toyota Private lease is available from 249 euros per month (60 months, 10,000 km/year).

The Aygo X (pronounced: ‘Cross’) gets the well-known one-liter three-cylinder petrol engine of 53 kW / 72 hp. The X-shift automatic transmission is replaced by a new S-CVT, a fuel-efficient and fast-responding Continuously Variable Transmission. The basic version of the city car comes standard with 17-inch wheels, air conditioning, electrically operated windows at the front and all the safety gadgets from Toyota Safety Sense2. These include adaptive cruise control, Lane Departure Alert, automatic high beam and Road Sign Assist.

The equipment level above that is called Play and offers, among other things, a reversing camera, 7-inch multimedia system and smartphone exchange via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As an introduction, the Aygo X also appears as a First version. It has LED headlights, fog lights, a rain sensor and privacy glass.

The richest versions are called Envy and Limited. The two have 18-inch alloy wheels and optionally an electrically folding canvas convertible roof (995 euros). The Limited is always executed in the body color Cardemom Green with black roof and orange accents.
