It is surprising news between all factory closings: Polestar has just started production of the Polestar 2.
The production tires started to run for the electric car in Luqiao, China. That seems a striking choice, given the global crisis due to COVID-19. But China is slowly creeping out of the Corona Valley. Polestar therefore does not mention the corona crisis and says that it is especially proud of the new milestone. It took Polestar over a year to start production, because the Polestar 2 was presented to the public in February last year. The delivery of the first copies is planned for this summer.
Polestar starts delivery in Europe, followed by China and North America. The car is powered by a 408 hp electric motor that draws its power from a 78 kWh battery pack. According to WLTP measurements, the Swede comes 470 kilometers away. The Dutch entry price is € 59,800.
