Apple has released public beta 3 of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. Here are some new features you can expect in the third public test build!
Public Beta 3 Released
Apple has released yet another round of software updates! Public beta 3 of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and watchOS 11 is now available to all users. The updates bring a number of new features to iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Unfortunately, the Apple Watch will have to do without any new features, as Apple is not making any changes in the third public beta of watchOS 11.

The third test build of macOS Sequoia brings a new wallpaper to your Mac. In the background, you can see Sequoia National Park, a national park in California. The wallpaper is automatically installed on your Mac when you download the third public beta. Apple is also bringing a big change to macOS Sequoia, which is also seen in iOS 18 public beta 3 and iPadOS 18.
Safari gets new feature
With public beta 3 for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, Apple is adding an important feature to Safari. Hide Distracting Items gives you the ability to temporarily remove parts of a website. For example, distracting ads or cookie notifications can be hidden on Safari. This is temporary, so when you visit the web page again, the hidden parts will reappear.
To hide different parts of a website, tap the menu at the top left of Safari. In iOS 18 Public Beta 3, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, you’ll find “Hide Distracting Items.” Once you’ve selected that feature, you can select parts of the webpage you no longer want to see. This is handy for hiding distracting notifications, photos, or ads in Safari.
