Live translation via AirPods is now available in the Netherlands. But what else is new in the iOS 26.2 public beta?
iOS 26.2 public beta is out: these are the new features
We have only just completed the iOS 26.1 update, and the public beta of iOS 26.2 is already ready. This update brings a number of cool features to your iPhone! We provide an overview.
Live translations via AirPods
Live translations allow you to understand someone who speaks a different language than you. For example, if you’re speaking English and someone speaks back to you in French, Siri can tell you what they said in English through your AirPods. Live Translation is available for the AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2 and the more expensive version of the AirPods 4 (with active noise cancellation).

Podcasts app improvements
The Apple Podcasts app has received a few minor adjustments with iOS 26.2. Apple now uses AI to automatically create chapters or add references to other podcasts.
More or less Liquid Glass
Apple has made some changes to the slider that allows you to adjust the transparency of the Liquid Glass on your lockscreen. You can now use it for any font.
Liquid Glass is the new look of the operating system, where various elements appear transparent and everything gets a shiny edge.

Urgent reminders
In the Reminders app, a button labeled ‘Urgent’ will appear next to a ‘New reminder’. This allows the app to schedule an alarm clock or timer. You will then hear a sound when you have set the reminder, even when a focus is active.
Sleep score adjustments
With Sleep Score, Apple has added a new way to see at a glance how well you slept last night. Apple has adjusted the various categories of this score in iOS 26.2. According to users, they were initially quite too wide. Some names have also been changed.
