Revolution

The Ram 1500 gets an electrical equivalent to which the brand recently gave a fairly concrete preview with the Ram 1500 Revolution Concept. Now it is known what the production version of that electric pick-up will be called.
The Ford F-150 is available as Lightning with an electric powertrain, the Chevrolet Silverado comes with an electrically powered equivalent and the Ram 1500 also gets an electric alternative. So there is a real revolution going on in the world of large pick-ups. It is therefore not surprising that Ram called its conceptual harbinger of its large electric pick-up ‘Ram 1500 Revolution’. Upper management apparently liked that name, because something of it remains for the final production version.

The Ram 1500 Revolution Concept from the beginning of this year.
1500 REV. This is how the electric pick-up from Ram will be called, which will have to compete with the aforementioned competitors and models such as the Rivian R1T and the Tesla Cybertruck, which is yet to appear on the market. The REV part of the name, of course, stands for Revolution. Ram immediately releases two teaser plates on which we see pieces of the production version of the Ram 1500 REV. It seems that the light signature that the 1500 Revolution Concept had is being transferred pretty much one-to-one to the 1500 REV that the American consumer can buy.
Ram will release more information about the production version in a few days, but you will have to wait a little longer for the full reveal of the electric pickup. That will follow in a few months. The Ram 1500 Rev will be on the STLA Frame variant of Stellantis’ STLA platform family. According to Stellantis, this modular platform is good for an electric range of up to 800 kilometers and must be able to charge up to 350 kW thanks to 800V on-board voltage.
