Realme has presented the GT Neo 3, which is a mid-range phone that comes with strong fast charging performance and a 50 MP camera with optical image stabilization. The phone was first announced in China, but will probably also be on the market at a later date.
Realme GT Neo 3
Realme packs a punch in the mid-range with its successor to the GT Neo 2. The new GT Neo 3 was announced in China at an online launch event and it comes with some strong features considering its price tag.
Most notable is the 150W charger that uses OPPO’s recently announced fast charging technology. Not only does the charger work quickly, but it also brings a system that ensures that a battery will wear out less quickly. The GT Neo 3 comes with a 4,500 mAh battery that is half charged in 5 minutes. Realme also introduces a second variant of the GT Neo 3 that has a larger 5,000 mAh battery and an 80W fast charger.
Powerful chipset, 50 MP camera with OIS
The phone also has a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate, just like its predecessor. The panel also supports HDR10+ content again. The fingerprint scanner is further below the screen and the phone comes without a 3.5 mm audio jack. Realme does equip the device with stereo speakers that support sound effects from Dolby Atmos.
The phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G, which is a new chipset with a high 2.85GHz clock speed that is aimed at high-end phones. Realme is releasing the phone in different storage variants with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It works with the Realme UI 3.0 software which is based on Android 12.

The camera of the GT Neo 3 consists of three lenses: a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP macro camera. On the front is a 16 MP selfie camera. Realme uses a Sony IMX766 main sensor with optical image stabilization for its main camera.
availabilty
The GT Neo 3 is currently only presented in China, but we think there is a good chance that this mid-sized car will also come to the Netherlands and Belgium. In China it costs at least 1,999 yen, or 345 euros including VAT. The GT Neo 2 came on the market in November last year for 349 euros, so that price is completely in the same line. We have asked Realme for more information about its availability in our market.
