Nissan has prepared a very special variant of the Patrol especially for the Middle East. The over 5 meter long luxurious off-road executioner gets a sporty Nismo version.
Nissan gave the Middle East Patrol a facelift in 2019. Although Nissan’s largest SUV, which incidentally is called Armada in the United States, is in principle from 2010, the competitor of cars like the Toyota Land Cruiser can still use it for a few more years. In 2015, the then current Patrol got a sporty Nismo variant and the renewed Patrol is now introduced to such a completely crazy Nismo version in the best sense of the word.
Nissan Patrol Nismo
The Nissan Patrol Nismo is a completely bizarre appearance. The 5.17 meter long SUV gets modified bumpers, complete with huge (closed) cooling openings, lips and spoiler edges. The whole thing is laced with Nismo-signature red accents. We see red parts at the bottom of the bumpers and side skirts and on the side mirror caps. The Patrol Nismo stands on 22-inch light alloy and is covered with Nismo badges all around. Those wheels provide the Patrol with a weight saving of – yes – 4.5 kilos. A nice bonus, then only 2,690 Patrol kilos remain. At the bottom of the rear, the Patrol Nismo has a huge diffuser-like panel that even incorporates an LED fog lamp in the style of a Formula 1 car. According to Nissan, the modified bumper and spoiler work ensures, among other things, better cooling of the brakes.

The interior is also undergoing a metamorphosis. It is crammed with sports seats covered in black leather and red Alcantara. The door panels are also partly covered with red leather. Nissan even gives the Patrol Nismo a red-stitched steering wheel with center mark and also applies red stitching to the gear cover, center tunnel and top of the dashboard.
And it does not stop there. Nissan mounts standard Bilstein shock absorbers and hangs a slightly tickled 5.6 liter V8 in the nose. The Patrol Nismo is 434 hp and 560 Nm strong.
The Patrol Nismo has a starting price of around € 89,500 in Dubai. Utterly crazy and almost crazy? Certainly, but perhaps that is precisely why so much fun in 2021.
