Apple seems to be planning to officially announce the headset this year, although this is still a bit dubious. The reliable Bloomberg recently reported that Apple is facing quite a few technical challenges, such as overheating. An announcement can therefore also be postponed to 2023. Nevertheless, the new mixed reality headset from Apple seems to be really coming.

Apple AR/VR glasses become Apple Reality?

It is not yet known what the AR/VR glasses will eventually be called. But according to previous rumors, the glasses run on their own operating system ‘realityOS’. This is evidenced by multiple references in the source code, including that of the App Store.

If realityOS is the name of the operating system, then the name of the VR headset is easy to guess. An operating system usually starts with the name of the device, followed by OS: macOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS.
