Remove unused apps from iPad/iPhone

Apps that are never or rarely used take up unnecessary space on the iPad and iPhone. Track them down and delete them.


It is better to remove unused apps. This saves storage space and update time. Because unused apps are updated.

  • Open the app Institutions.
  • Tap on General.
  • Tap on iPhone storage or iPad storage.
  • The device collects the storage information. That could take a while. After that, a list of installed apps will appear. Under each app, the “Last” entry shows the date the app was last used. If there is also a gray cloud, the app is no longer on the device. Tap the app you rarely use and want to delete.
  • Tap on Delete app.
  • Tap again Delete app.
  • The list of apps opens again. Remove all apps that are allowed to go away.
  • Finished? Close the settings.
