At the beginning of this year there was already the rumor that both the 5 and 4 will return in retro form and with electric drive. At least half of that rumor turned out to be true. Subsequently, Renault CEO Luca de Meo subtly hinted a month later that a new Renault 4 is indeed not out of the question. The new 5 will probably be a pretty hip and not necessarily very cheap model and it seems logical that a ‘reborn’ 4 will be slightly simpler and lower in the market. Such a dichotomy is also necessary to give the 4 the right to exist. We are already on the edge of our seat.
