We can’t let this Renault 5 pass you by. Not only because it is a very nice car in itself that does not necessarily have to cost the world anymore, but also because the advertising text is certainly worth a look.
You may notice how little you actually see the Renault 5 in the streets. Certainly the primal R5, of course, but the Supercinq is also a rarity in 2023. It is high time to bring another one to the attention that is still there and that could also become yours. A nice and simple 5 GTR from one of the later years; 1989. It could of course be even simpler, especially with the Campus, but this 5 originally also kept it quite simple. Apparently a previous owner was a little disappointed by the modest character and decided to equip the R5 with extras such as yellow headlights, black bonnet and extremely tasteful steering wheel cover. For a little weight saving, the tank lid has been thrown in the bulky waste …
You may already notice, the undersigned is a bit corny. That’s because of reading the ad text. The seller describes the little Frenchman beautifully. You don’t often see it in advertisements from car companies, so be sure to read it here. What the advertiser is in any case right about is that such a Renault 5 has really become a cult car. Its simplicity is actually quite charming when you consider all the bells and whistles on cars these days. On the other hand, you have to be able to handle Spartan driving, because it really is a bit in this 5.

If you don’t like the adjustments that were once made, then fortunately it is relatively easy to reverse. What you then have left is a Renault 5 that, based on the photos, can certainly still be there and moreover (if it is correct) with only 91,000 km on the clock. It has been standing still since 2021 and it still needs a new MOT. Whether it is worth the asking price of €1,750 all in all? You must of course determine that yourself, but it is not a crazy price in itself.
