More space, fewer engines
Attention couriers, contractors and other entrepreneurs who are on the hunt for a new delivery van: the Renault Kangoo is now also available with a size more. The longer and therefore extra practical Renault Kangoo in length L2 is available with various engines and in different versions. AutoWeek has the prices.
The Renault Kangoo has been a household name, especially in commercial vehicle land, for years. The current generation of Renault Kangoo is available with combustion engines and as a fully electric Kangoo E-Tech. The Kangoo with combustion engines and therefore without E-Tech addition was only available in one length for the time being, but is now also available as an L2 in addition to the L1.
At 4.91 meters long, the Renault Kangoo L2 is considerably longer than the 4.49-metre L1 version. The length difference is no less than 42 centimeters. That extra length gives the longer Kangoo a load volume of 4.2 cubic meters. The Kangoo L1 remains at 3.3 cubic meters. The longer Kangoo, like the shorter version, is available with various powertrains, but the 75 hp diesel and the 100 hp petrol version pass it by.
Engines and prices Renault Kangoo L2
The prices of the Renault Kangoo L2 start at €19,970. This is of course exclusive of VAT, since it is a company car. For just under 20 mille you get the Kangoo L2 with 130 hp and 240 Nm strong 1.3 TCe, a machine that is tied to a manual six-speed gearbox. The starting price applies to the Comfort version. The Kangoo with 1.3 TCe is also available as a Luxe and in that version it can also be equipped with an EDC automatic transmission (€23,370) in addition to a manual gearbox (€21,370).
Dieseling is possible from €20,970. For that amount, the Kangoo in length L2 is available with a 95 hp 1.5 Blue dCi diesel engine. Here too, you get a manual gearbox and basic Comfort version for that amount. The Kangoo with this 95 hp diesel is also available as a Luxury (€22,370) and in combination with that version you can also go for the EDC automatic transmission (€24,370). The most powerful diesel engine is the 115 hp variant of the 1.5 Blue dCi. It is only available as a Luxe and is available with a manual gearbox from €23,170 and with an automatic transmission from €25,170.
Do you think the Kangoo L2 and also the Kangoo in length L1 are too big? Then you can turn to Renault for the 4.39 meter long Renault Express based on the Dacia Dokker. Just like the short Kangoo, it has a loading volume of 3.3 cubic meters.
