Renault Megane E-Tech Electric reduced in price

Now always with a subsidy

Renault Megane E-Tech Electric reduced in price

Renault is lowering the prices of the fully electric Megane E-Tech Electric, AutoWeek can report. From now on, the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric will always be eligible for the SEPP subsidy (regardless of the version chosen).

The Renault Megane E-Tech Electric recently became slightly more expensive, but Renault is revising its pricing strategy and taking a bite out of the prices. The result of the price reductions is that the electric Megane can now always be purchased with a subsidy. That is also what Renault is aiming for: “The SEPP subsidy is an important purchasing motive for purchasing an EV model for private customers. Renault is happy to offer private customers extensive choice in the model range of the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric As a result, we have revised our pricing strategy and the most well-equipped versions now also fall within the limits of the SEPP Subsidy. At the same time, the lease driver benefits from a lower additional tax on all versions,” the statement reads.

As long as the subsidy pot is still full, you can still receive €2,950 in compensation, which may or may not be included in the lease price. The starting price of the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric drops by €2,000 to €36,370, with the more expensive versions the difference with the previous prices increases to €4,100.

As before, it starts with the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric EV40, the 130 hp version with a 40 kWh battery, which is only available as an Equilibre. The previously cheapest EV60, the Evolution ER, has been removed from the delivery range. The cheapest with the 60 kWh battery pack is now the 130 hp version as a Business Edition, which is available from €39,370, €700 less than before. If you want the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric with that battery pack and 220 hp drivetrain, you will pay the same and you will get it as an Equilibre. It has become €3,600 cheaper. One step above was the Evolution, but that too is now gone. Now it continues directly with the Techno, which has a €4,100 lower price tag at €41,870. The top version Iconic has also become €4,100 cheaper and is now available from €44,870.
