Ford announces the prices of the new Ford Focus. The taut C-segmenter has generally become more expensive than the Focus from before the facelift, but its starting price nevertheless remains below 30 mille.
We previously reported extensively on all the innovations to the Ford Focus. The Focus received, among other things, a new front with a modified grille and standard LED headlights. The bumper work is also new, which again differs between the regular models, the adventurous Active and the sporty ST. In the interior, a 13.2-inch touchscreen for the SYNC4 multimedia system occupies a dominant position atop the dashboard. If you opt for that large screen – standard from the Titanium – then the physical buttons for the radio shine because of their absence. Apart from that, the interior of the Focus has remained fairly unchanged.
Ford Focus Active
Ford offers the new Focus in five versions: Connected, Titanium, ST-Line, Active and ST-X. The Connected is the entry-level and standard features include an 8-inch touchscreen with Sync 2.5, LED headlights, parking sensors all around, cruise control and an autonomous braking system. As a Connected, the Focus hatchback is available from €28,240 with the 100 hp 1.0 EcoBoost and six-speed manual transmission or from €32,040 if you opt for the 120 hp 1.5 EcoBlue diesel engine. The Wagon has an additional cost of €1,250. The starting price of the Focus is therefore €1,255 higher than that of the outgoing model, which was listed as a Trend Edition-Business with the same petrol engine for €26,985.
The choice is huge
Above the Connected is the Titanium, which comes standard in combination with the 125 hp 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid. Please note: this is a mild hybrid power source. The Titanium is listed as a hatchback with a six-speed manual transmission from €30,750. Standard equipment on the Titanium includes the 13.2-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, automatic climate control, electrically folding door mirrors, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED taillights. Prefer a sportier look? Then there’s the ST-Line, which adds 17-inch alloy wheels, ST-line bumpers and interior details and a 10mm lowered sports suspension to the Titanium’s equipment. At the other end of the spectrum is the more adventurous Active, which has been raised by 30mm and 34mm at the front and rear, respectively, and has rougher off-road bumpers.
At the top is the ST-X, or the 280 hp Focus ST. The hot hatch is available from €56,595 (€57,845 for the Wagon) and is currently only on the price list with a six-speed manual transmission. Compared to the previous model, the starting price of the ST increased by €3,055.
Ford Focus ST
With the exception of the Connected, two additional versions can be linked to the above variants: the X and Vignale. Then you get ‘Titanium X’ or ‘ST-line Vignale’. Vignale was previously a separate trim level, but that name has now been reduced to a kind of option package. If you opt for the X, you will receive on top of the chosen basic version, among other things, the 12.3-inch digital instrumentation, a reversing camera, mood lighting, a wireless charger for the phone and keyless entry. The Vignale then adds special door sills, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat and the winter package with heated front seats, steering wheel heating and a heated windscreen. The additional cost of the X behind the chosen version is €1,150, the Vignale costs €3,250 extra. Please note: the aforementioned combinations cannot be made with all powertrains.
