Spy shots Volkswagen Golf Variant

In 2024, the Volkswagen Golf will return from the cutting table with a refreshed front, a slightly modified buttocks and a more thoroughly overhauled interior. On these spy plates we see the updated Volkswagen Golf Variant, this time not as a big R.

We have already presented you with the new Volkswagen Golf digitally several times. It appeared in the middle of this year as a regular five-door hatchback, later appeared as a hatchback in GTI trim and recently we were able to show you both the Hatchback and Variant as well as the sporty top version R. Today we have another Golf Variant, this time in a more modest outfit.

From a distance, the Volkswagen Golf Variant appears to be completely free of camouflage stickers on these plates. However, the adhesive brigade in Wolfsburg also used the roll of tape for this white test sample. Take a good look at the front bumper. The white parts should give the impression that nothing has changed in terms of bumper technology, but the sticker work really shows the new shape of the bumper. Higher on the front we see the new headlights, which are flatter than the ones the Golf currently has. Also, the gap between the headlights and the Volkswagen logo appears thinner than it currently is. The rear lights of this test sample also seem to be filled in differently.

Volkswagen Passat 2023

You can also expect this infotainment screen from the Passat in the Golf.

We also know that the Volkswagen Golf will have a new interior. The Golf not only gets physical buttons on the steering wheel again, but also a new and – optional – significantly larger infotainment screen. It appears to be the 15-inch model that Volkswagen is also installing in the new Passat. We expect Volkswagen to present the facelifted Golf in the first half of next year.
