Which cars are the most and least reliable? To find out, the German body Tüv collected inspection data on 9.6 million cars. The undisputed winner is the Mercedes GLC, with the lowest failure rate in the study (average 1.5 percent). The worst scores were the Dacia Logan and Duster, with 11.6 and 11.4 percent respectively.

The Tüv divides its research results into categories: cars up to 3 years old, up to 5 years old, up to 7 years old, up to 9 years old and up to 11 years old. Logically, the average failure rate gets a lot higher as cars get older. Below you will find the top five in the first two categories. The full research of the Tüv is behind this link.
