From 1 July 2022, a smoke detector will be mandatory in every home in the Netherlands and for good reason. In a fire, most victims are not caused by the fire itself, but by inhaling the smoke that contains toxic substances, which quickly makes you unconscious and then suffocate. The Elro FS4610 should prevent that.
This thinnest smoke detector in the world with a height of 2.3 cm and a diameter of 11.5 cm is hardly noticeable. It has an optical sensor that reacts quickly to fire and gives less false alarms, as shown in our tests, a smart sensor that automatically dims the LED lighting in dark rooms and a built-in lithium battery (lifespan 10 years). The alarm is really loud at 85 dB(A) and this smoke detector complies with European standard EN 14604:2005/AC:2008.
The automatic self-test is handy, so you don’t have to test whether it still works. Moreover, this smoke detector is easy to install and comes with a 10-year warranty.
