mx brio 3qtr front right pale gray gallery 2The Logitech MX Brio is a high-end webcam with 4K/30fps or 1080p/60fps and uses AI for image optimization. The image sensor is the new bright 8.5MP SonyStarvis and combined with HDR (High Dynamic Range) this gives an exceptionally good image even in minimal light conditions.

The camera measures 9.8 x 4 x 2 cm and comes in a business-like design in graphite or silver gray. It can be clamped to a screen using the included tools; an included 1.5 meter USB-C to USB-C cable connects the camera to the system. A USB-C/-A adapter is not included.

A rotating ring allows the lens to be opened or closed, ensuring privacy. To the left and right of the lens we see two beam forcing-microphones that capture sound up to 1.2 meters in good quality for video meetings or other recordings. The camera can be directed downwards (Show Mode) are used to display a document or photo.

Software updates and controls work via Logi Options+ (Windows & Mac), the management program for Logitech connected devices. You can leave all settings on automatic or adjust the field of view, zoom, position, exposure, HDR, white balance, brightness, contrast, saturation and focus. The automatic settings usually work well: Field of view (65/78/90°) and Zoom (max. 4x digital) determine how big you appear in the picture. The quality of the picture is of high quality under all circumstances. We tested the sound with Audacity and it comes across clearly and distinctly.

All in all a webcam with high quality image for a solid price. Too bad this camera, like the previous model, is not compatible with Windows Hello.
