Roewe shows Marvel-R Concept

The Chinese manufacturer, which once started selling models that used all or part of the technology of the Rover worn in Europe, comes in a short time with a second high-tech study model: the Marvel-R Concept.

At the end of last month, Roewe showed the first images of the R-Aura Concept, a preview of an all-electric flagship with a remarkably slick designed body. The second conceptual newcomer that Roewe presents in a short time is this Marvel-R Concept. Unlike the R-Aura Concept, it is not an SUV, but a sedan. In addition, this long-legged looks slightly more ready for production than that R-Aura.

Because this Marvel-R is still a study model, Roewe stuffs it with striking techniques and details. For example, the car is provided with blue lighting all around and even the R-emblems, Roewe wants to make ‘R’ a kind of sub-label, are illuminated in blue. Even illuminated plastic wheels can be found in the plastic wheel arch edges. The headlamps, which are connected to each other like the rear lights, are equipped with matrix LED technology. The Marvel-R’s overall design isn’t all that shocking. In fact, the car is broadly similar to the Marvel X, an SUV introduced to the world in 2018. Incidentally, Roewe also has a nice gadget area. For example, the Marve-R, just like its flatter concept brother, is equipped with recessed handles. The SUV also has 5G connectivity and should be able to run semi-autonomously (level 3).

Roewe does not yet release specific information about the drivetrain, although we can report that this study model is also equipped with an electric drivetrain.
