Samsung has ‘secretly’ announced a new phone, namely the Samsung Galaxy A23. It is an accessible phone with a 50MP camera and 25 Watt charging. It has four rear cameras and a large 6.6-inch screen.
Samsung Galaxy A23
It is a release with little fanfare, but Samsung is coming with the Samsung Galaxy A23 and the Galaxy A13 4G. Galaxy A23 is the successor of A22 and Galaxy A13 is not so much a successor, but a 4G variant of the Galaxy A13 5G announced in December.
You can expect a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen with Gorilla Glass 5 from the Galaxy A23. The refresh rate is very low at 60 Hertz, especially because its predecessor has 90 Hertz. It has not yet been announced which processor the device uses, but it is an octacore with 2.4 GHz cores. The working memory is 8GB RAM and the storage is 128GB.
Four cameras
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy A23 is well equipped. It has four rear cameras, including a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera can be found in the V-shaped notch and is 8MP. Finally, there is a 5,000 mAh battery that you can charge at a speed of 25 Watts.
The similarities between A23 and A13 4G are great: they both have a 6.6-inch 60 Hertz screen with Gorilla Glass 5, a 5,000 mAh battery and 25 Watt charging. The cameras are also exactly the same. Both phones run on the Android 12 operating system with One UI 4.1, the shell of Samsung. Both devices also do not have a fingerprint scanner in the screen, but on the side.
Budget device
It is still unknown what the budget device Samsung Galaxy A23 will cost. Its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A22 had a suggested retail price of 229 euros, so it is expected that about the same applies to this new device. The recommended retail price of Samsung Galaxy A13 4G is known: 189 euros for the 64GB version and 209 euros for the 128GB version.
