The Samsung Galaxy M22 is a versatile phone from the budget segment, and the device will also be released in the Netherlands and Belgium this month. We say “versatile”, because it has an AMOLED screen, a large battery, four cameras and sufficient working memory.
Samsung Galaxy M22
We know the phones from Samsung’s Galaxy M series because of their strong specifications for the price, but also because of the online sale and limited availability in the Netherlands and Belgium. Devices are only slowly coming to the Low Countries, but this month we can expect the M22, that Samsung announces.
The device comes with a 6.4 inch AMOLED screen, but because it is a budget phone, it has an HD resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. Remarkable about the screen is that the phone displays smooth animations with the 90 Hz refresh rate, and brightness of 600 nits is also relatively high. Samsung gave the Galaxy M22 an all-plastic housing, and it has a 3.5mm audio jack. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner, which is incorporated into the power button on the side of the phone.
Four cameras and sturdy battery
If we look at the most important part of this Samsung phone, we come to the Helio G80 processor from MediaTek. That’s a typical chipset for low-end phones, and it doesn’t support 5G. It is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The battery of the Galaxy M22 is a large 5,000 mAh battery, and it can be charged with the 15-watt charger that comes in the box. If you want more fast charging power, you can get a 25-watt charger separately.
Four lenses flaunt on the back of the Galaxy M22, and the two most important are without a doubt the 48 MP main camera and the 8 MP wide-angle sensor. Still, Samsung doesn’t stop there, because we get another 2 MP macro camera that takes photos from very close by and a depth camera for portrait photos. Those are photos with a blurred background.

Prices and availability
This smartphone was previously on the market in Germany, but the Samsung Galaxy M22 will be available in the Netherlands and Belgium from mid-October. You will be able to buy it for 239 euros.
