Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 receives Smart widget via update

With the arrival of the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung introduced One UI 4.1 with many new functions. One of those new options can now also be found on the high-end Galaxy Tab S8 series.

Samsung’s One UI 4.1 includes some nice new features such as the Samsung RAM Plus function and the Smart widget. Thanks to the Smart widget, you can save space on your home screen. It is a widget that merges three widgets. You simply swipe left or right over it to switch widgets. That Smart widget was not yet available on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, which also runs on One UI 4.1. Fortunately, Samsung is now changing that with an update.

Smart widget on the Tab S8

The Smart widget is included in an update that also comes with the March security update. After installing this update, you will find the Smart widget at the very top of the widget list, just like the phones in the S22 series. You can also choose from three sizes on the tablets: 2×2, 4×1 and 4×2.
