The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro have been unveiled. With the Galaxy Watch 5, Samsung focuses on various fitness and health functions, while the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro emphasizes extra functions and an extra sturdy and stylish design. With the Watch 5 Pro, Samsung says goodbye to the Classic variant of its smart watches and goes all out for minimalist design.

Improved health sensors

More and more people want to live as healthy as possible, Samsung indicates, and the new Galaxy Watch 5 series should help with that. The smart watches should give you more insight into the underlying processes, so that you can then take action. The smartwatches have three health sensors that should provide accurate results, such as oxygen levels, (abnormal) heart rate and also your stress level. With the Galaxy Watch 5 you can always and everywhere check your blood pressure and EKG directly from your wrist, and so you should get an increasingly better picture of the health of your heart.

Training and recovery

In addition to keeping track of your training and fitness sessions, you can also request all kinds of data afterwards. For a good night’s sleep, there is the Sleep Scores function that maps your sleep pattern, complete with sleep stages, snore detection and the registration of the oxygen level in your blood.
