Samsung launches beta program for One UI 4.0, Android 12 is on the way

Samsung has started its beta program for the new One UI 4.0 software based on Android 12. This means that Samsung is developing the latest Android version for various Galaxy phones.

Samsung One UI 4.0

Every year, Samsung tests the new Android versions of Google through its beta program. This year the launch of Android 12 is planned (presumably on October 4) and Samsung will thoroughly test the new possibilities of this Android version in its beta program. In the end, everything must work well with the software shell of Samsung itself, which is given the name One UI 4.0. Samsung today announced its latest beta in home country Korea, reports Sammobile. That means Android 12 is on its way to Galaxy phones.

As usual, the Galaxy S series is the first to qualify for testing and that is the Samsung Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21 Plus and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The first beta version will be available shortly. More Galaxy phones will be added to the program later, as will the number of countries where the new software can be tested. That will most likely be: China, Germany, India, the United Kingdom and the United States. For example, if you have a German version of one of the above phones, it is possible to install the update. A notification of the update will then be shown in the Samsung Members app, similar to previous years.

Rollout stable version of One UI 4.0

Samsung last year promised to release One UI 3.0 for the Galaxy S20 series before the end of December 2020. The company has fulfilled that promise. In December, the smartphones in the Netherlands and Belgium received the update. So we hope that Samsung will keep a similar schedule this year, so that around Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Android 12 will run on the S21 series.
