Second facelift coming up for Audi Q7

The current generation of Audi Q7 has been running since 2015 and is now eight years old. In 2020, Audi’s largest SUV was already given a fairly drastic facelift, but it is not time for a replacement yet. Audi’s competitor of cars such as the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE seems to be refreshed for a second time.

Eight years ago this month, the current-generation Audi Q7 debuted at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. In those eight years, the Audi Q7 has already been thoroughly renewed, but it does not stop with one facelift. These photos show a packed Audi Q7, which indicates that Audi has another freshening up for its largest SUV.

The Audi Q7 does not seem to be renewed as far as in 2020. Then the SUV received completely new headlights, a new grille and a new buttocks with taillights that were then split by a chrome strip. It did not stop there, Audi also gave the Q7 a completely new interior. The now snapped test sample has new headlights, which not only have a different layout, but are also shaped differently. We also see a grille with mesh that we have not seen on the SUV before. In addition, the unfortunately still quite taped front bumper seems new for the Q7. At the rear, the Audi Q7 cannot escape the brush of innovation either. For example, the rear lights of the Audi Q7 get a new light signature, although the light units themselves seem to retain their shape.

Audi will only introduce new models with electric powertrains from 2026, so the current generation of Audi Q7 is the very last that can still be supplied with combustion engines. Ultimately, the Q7 will probably hand over the baton to an electric SUV that could just be called the Q7 e-tron. After all, there is already a Q8 e-tron recently.
