Seres 3 renewed: mainly an external refresher

You would almost forget it, but the Seres 3 has been with us for about three years now and a facelift is in the pipeline. The Chinese EV will, among other things, have an updated front.

We haven’t heard anything about Seres for quite some time, the Chinese brand that announced at the end of 2020 that it was coming to the Netherlands and launched the Seres 3 here. The Seres 5 and Seres 7 would also follow later, but for now only the Seres 3 can be ordered. It is now also getting a refresher.

At the front the Seres 3 is a bit ‘tidier’. The optical grille disappears and the chrome moldings are also a thing of the past. It is now a more minimalist whole and the closed nose makes it easier to see that you are dealing with an electric car. At the rear it remains more of the familiar, although here (just like at the front, by the way) the lights seem to be filled in slightly differently. In the interior, the most striking change is that the climate control has disappeared from the center at the bottom of the dashboard. From now on, this can logically be operated via the infotainment screen.

The Seres 3 as we got to know it

As far as we know, there are no major technical changes. The Seres 3 still has a 163 hp electric motor and a 54 kWh battery pack that provides a driving range of 329 km. We are curious whether the refreshed Seres 3 will become a more common car than the current one. Seres does not appear in last year’s Bovag sales figures, according to Kenteken.tv there are 26 copies on Dutch license plates.
