In PC-Active 320 you can already read about Busch-Jaeger’s solutions to make your home smarter. Siemens also has an extensive system for this: Home Connect. This allows you to easily operate household appliances: from the washing machine to the oven and from the coffee machine to the vacuum cleaner. It is also handy that you can see at a glance in the Home Connect app which ingredients are still in your smart fridge. For example, Siemens iQ700 (KA92DHXFP) is equipped with two built-in cameras that take a photo every time you close the door and display it in the app. This way you always know what’s in the fridge, useful if you don’t know exactly whether you have something or not while shopping.

And that this refrigerator is smart, it proves with its storage recommendations. For example, if you just put a lime in the fridge and not in the special fruit and vegetable drawer, you will receive a notification with a storage recommendation. Products in the hyperfreshtrays will last much longer. And if you have not closed the refrigerator properly, you will also receive a notification on your smartphone. In any case, this refrigerator is energy-conscious thanks to the ECO mode and holiday mode. It is also handy that you can set the cooling and freezing temperatures separately with the app anytime and anywhere.

Home Connect works completely independently via the app. Through a number of partners you can easily expand the functionality of Home Connect and integrate it into other solutions for a smart home. You can of course decide for yourself whether you want this. For example, you can let Home Connect work together with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to control your home appliances with your voice. Bosch Smart Home, Homey and Olisto are also partners of Siemens Home Connect.
