Skoda Karoq

The Skoda Karoq enters the new model year with a number of changes. The Karoq gets a more powerful basic engine and the range of equipment is also adjusted. AutoWeek has all the prices of the Karoq that has been adjusted on a number of points.

The basic engine of the Skoda Karoq is and remains the 1.0 TSI. However, the three-cylinder engine does get some extra power. For example, the petrol engine previously produced 110 hp, but now produces 115 hp. As before, the 1.0 is only available with a six-speed manual gearbox. Those who want more power can, as before, opt for the 150 hp 1.5 TSI with active cylinder deactivation. It is available with both a manual gearbox and a DSG7 automatic transmission.

Other news concerns the performance and equipment. The Ambition version is now called Selection. The basic version – only available in combination with the 115 hp 1.0 TSI – now has automatic climate control as standard. Every Skoda Karoq now also has traffic sign recognition. From now on, the Business Edition will have to make do with more and less. For example, parking sensors and a reversing camera are now standard, but the Business Edition now has to make do without navigation and without an automatically opening and closing tailgate.
