The Skoda Kushaq has already been photographed as a prototype in the country for which it is intended, India. Now the compact crossover has also been spotted in Europe, but you don’t have to grab your checkbook right away.
Skoda is working on a compact crossover for the Indian market, the Kushaq. It is on an India-adapted version of the MQB base that Skoda uses here for the Kamiq and the upcoming Fabia. The Kushaq, which will largely resemble the Vision In Concept presented last year, therefore seems to be fully focused on the Indian market. Skoda also explains this in a series of photos of a wrapped Kushaq in the Asian country.
Now, however, the Kushaq has also surfaced in Europe. How could it be otherwise, the car has a Czech registration. That makes you think; does Skoda have more plans with it than just an Indian market storm? Well, it seems that the car is simply developed in the Czech Republic, but after that phase we see little or nothing of it here close to home. Skoda confirms to Techzle that the Kushaq is really purely and only for India. Not so surprising, the Kushaq would be very much in the waters of the Kamiq here.
