Skoda has released two new design sketches to warm us up for the arrival of the brand new RS version of the Octavia. That car not only gets a gasoline engine, but also an electric motor under the hood. Yes, it’s a plug-in!
The Geneva Motor Show is the stage on which Skoda will soon be presenting the Octavia RS iV. At Skoda, those IV letters stand for electrification and that can only mean one thing: the Octavia RS is a plug-in hybrid!
The Czechs release three sketches on which the Octavia RS iV can be seen not only as a five-door hatchback, but also as a Combi. As expected, the RSs are equipped with sportier spoiler work, characteristic light metal with five large openings and black design accents. Also interesting: Skoda already releases the power. The new Octavia RS iV squeezes 245 hp from its plug-in hybrid powertrain. It is not inconceivable that the powertrain, the exact composition of which has not yet been released, will also be in the new Golf GTI. During the Geneva Motor Show we will learn more about Skoda’s new sportsmen. The last Octavia RS made it up to 230 hp in its most powerful form.
