Do you regularly watch SkyShowtime? Then we have bad news, because SkyShowtime will soon become more expensive. These are the new prices.
SkyShowtime is becoming more expensive
Once again a streaming service has announced that it will increase prices. While Netflix, Viaplay and Disney Plus previously introduced more expensive subscriptions, it is now SkyShowtime’s turn. The streaming service has informed subscribers that the subscriptions are being adjusted, with the commercial-free option becoming a lot more expensive. SkyShowtime is introducing the more expensive Standard Plus subscription.
All ad-free subscriptions will automatically be converted to the new Standard Plus option. You still have no advertisements, but you do pay 8.99 euros per month. Now it is still 6.99 euros per month, so the monthly price will increase by no less than two euros. Don’t plan on paying the higher price for SkyShowtime? Then you have to rely on a subscription with commercials.
New subscriptions at SkyShowtime
Soon you will also be able to opt for a subscription with the streaming service that does show advertisements. You pay for this monthly 5.99 euros, which is cheaper than the current subscription and the new Standard Plus subscription. For that price you get the same range of films and series, but you will still see commercials in between.
You will soon be able to choose from a Standard subscription and a Standard Plus option. Do you already have a subscription? This will then automatically be transferred to a more expensive Standard Plus subscription to SkyShowtime. In that case, you will automatically pay the higher price of 8.99 euros per month. Do not you want that? Then you will have to cancel the subscription soon and then choose a Standard subscription yourself.
Prices will increase from this date
You still have some time to cancel your subscription, because SkyShowtime will introduce the more expensive prices from April 23, 2024. So make sure you cancel your subscription by April 22 if you want to choose the cheaper subscription. Do you want to continue paying the lower price for the time being? Then it is advisable to take out a (semi-)annual subscription before April 23. This way you only pay for the next (half) year 4.59 euros per month. You can close here:
Good news for users who have a subscription where you only pay half the price. SkyShowtime has already indicated that the lifetime discount will remain in place, meaning you only pay 4.49 euros per month for the new Standard Plus subscription.
