Smallest seven-seater Mercedes-Benz: from €57,486

It’s raining prices. Now we have the Dutch prices of the Mercedes-Benz GLB, which warmed up earlier this year. The smallest seven-seater from Mercedes-Benz offers considerably more space than the GLA, but is only marginally more expensive.

The renewed GLA is in the Netherlands for just under €55,000 in the order books, as we just wrote. Now we can also tell you what the Mercedes-Benz GLB, which was modernized simultaneously with the GLA and in a similar way, should cost in the Netherlands. With a length of 4.65 metres, the Mercedes-Benz GLB is almost 25 centimeters longer than the GLA, has a 10 centimeter longer wheelbase (2.83 metres) and, unlike the GLA, can optionally be equipped with a third row of seats that transforms the car into a seven-seater. The additional price compared to the GLA is relatively limited. The Mercedes-Benz GLB is available in the Netherlands from €57,486 and is therefore about €2,500 more expensive than an equivalent entry-level GLA.

The starting price of the Mercedes-Benz GLB applies to the now mild-hybrid GLB 180 with 136 hp petrol heart and 14 hp electrical assistance, designed as a Business Line. This powertrain can also be combined with trim levels Luxury Line and AMG Line. Just like the GLA, the GLB is also available as the GLB 200 with a 163 hp (+14 hp) strong petrol engine. As a Luxury Line, this variant costs €61,360. With AMG Line pampering you will spend €64,026 for it. Mercedes-Benz also offers the GLB as a 190 hp (+14 hp) powerful GLB 220 and as a 224 hp (+14 hp) strong GLB 250. Both have 4Matic all-wheel drive and are always equipped as AMG Line. They cost €76,428 and €88,290 respectively.

The GLB is not available as a plug-in hybrid. There is, however, a sporty and full-named Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4Matic sporty top version with a 306 hp (+14 hp) powerful 2.0. This top version stands for €103,640 in the price list. As with the GLA, regardless of the version, the updated GLB is considerably more spacious than before the facelift, which explains the higher prices compared to the pre-facelift version.
