Spotify has adjusted the home screen of the iOS app. From now on, after opening the app, you will immediately see the playlists, podcasts and albums that you often listen to.
New Spotify home screen
After the major update last month, Spotify has now also adjusted the home screen of the iOS app. When you open Spotify, you will immediately see six favorites at the top: the podcast you stream every morning, the playlist you recently set up or that one album you’ve been listening to for weeks.
The music service app greets you in the morning with “good morning” and this also changes to “good afternoon” and “good evening” during the day. The home screen doesn’t just show you what you often listen to: if you scroll down, you’ll see what you’ve played recently.
Discover new music
Are you ready for something new? Spotify can help you with that too. The app recommends playlists, albums, and artists of certain genres based on what you’re listening to. For example, artists and albums are recommended that are similar to artists you often listen to. That way you can just make a new discovery.
In a video shows Spotify again how the new home screen works. It is divided into favorites, automatically generated playlists based on your preferences, and recommendations based on popularity and your taste.
