Striking Dutch Ferrari homage outlined again

The Dutch coachbuilder Niels van Roij Design releases new sketches of the Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage. They give a good idea of what Niels van Roij Design has in the development rooms.

Niels van Roij Design is working on a tribute to the 365 GTB / 4 Shooting Brake, a Ferrari 356 GTB / 4 Daytona that was converted into a Shooting Brake in 1975 by order of a customer. The Dutch coachbuilder, who also designs and develops his creation on behalf of a client, is based on the 599 GTB. The sketch of the side of the Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage leaves no doubt about that, although the bodywork is being considerably renovated.

Ferrari 599 GTB

Like the car to which the Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage pays homage, the 599 GTB gets a roofline that extends much further to the rear before ending in a kind of truncated Kamm tail. The lighting at the front is slightly more concrete in the design sketches. The Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage seems to have flat headlights that are connected by a yellow (LED) strip. The front of the 365 GTB / 4 and its unique Shooting Brake brother was also characterized by a wide, orange strip.

It is not yet known when the Daytona Shooting Brake Hommage will be ready. It will undoubtedly be something special. Previously, Niels van Roij Design converted a Ferrari 550 Maranello into this idiosyncratic Breadvan Hommage.
