Tesla close to agreement on restarting California production

Tesla is one step closer to restarting production after consulting with the board of Alameda County, the U.S. region where the factory is located. That said the regional board in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.

If Tesla takes additional measures and the number of corona infections does not make a major jump this week, the brand can prepare for the restart of production. If everything goes well, Tesla can start this week. Next Monday, the factory in Fremont could start building cars again. The local police keep an eye on things and ensure that sufficient distance is kept.

Telsa CEO Elon Musk criticized Alameda County’s board in the run-up to the gradual reopening of factories in the state of California. He insisted that the region misinterpreted state rules. On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump joined Musk in a tweet: “The factory should open now. You can do it quickly and safely.” Musk previously decided to go against official legislation by already starting preparations for production. He said he was “prepared to be arrested for it.” Now that an official path seems to have been found, this is prevented.
