Tesla comes with sporty adjustments for the Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 mainly makes highway kilometers in the Netherlands, but that does not alter the fact that the EV also has enough for sporty rides. Tesla now delivers an upgrade that should appeal to the more fanatic driver.

Electric driving has a nice side effect; most EVs come pretty fast from their place. This certainly also applies to the Tesla Model 3 Performance, which can sprint from a standstill to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds. That in itself is nice to do on the standard wheels that lie under the Model 3, but Tesla believes it can be even better. That is why it is now announcing the Track Package, which should be able to curb the power even better.

If you check the new option on the Model 3 order list, you will get new 20-inch ‘Zero-G Performance’ wheels (photo 2) that are 1.27 cm wider and also look a bit sportier than the standard ones. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires folded around it should, according to Tesla, transfer the power better to the asphalt. In order to get things to a halt again, Tesla also assembles more robust brake pads. Finally, according to Tesla, other brake fluid must also improve the brake industry. The range of the Model 3 may decrease with the Track Package, Tesla warns. That also seems logical to us.

For the time being, the package cannot yet be ordered in the Netherlands, but in America, Tesla is expected to start delivery from April. It costs $ 5,500 there, which is a tight € 5,000. It is reserved for the top version of the Model 3; the Performance. Chances are that the package will soon also be on the Dutch option list.
