Tesla Model 3 shows more realistic and higher range after update

Tesla has released an update for the renewed Model 3, which should display a more realistic driving range. The range in itself also seems to improve slightly.

This is software version 2020.48.12, which is already being offered to owners of the renewed Model 3. After installing the software, the car shows a slightly higher driving range than before. This is evident from the ‘release notes’ that Tesla has released, as website Electrek discovered. According to Electrek, it seems that the update not only shows a more realistic range, but that it actually increases slightly due to a higher efficiency.

At the beginning of this year, Tesla already increased the range of the Tesla Model 3; the 2021 version of the car can run slightly more mileage on the battery than the 2020 version. According to CEO Elon Musk, this was made possible by a series of small hardware improvements that have been added in recent times.
