For the second month in a row this year, the Tesla Model Y is the electric car with the most new units registered in the Netherlands. Here are the ten most popular new electric cars of February.
The plug-in hybrid Lynk & Co 01 could call itself the car of which the most new units were registered in the Netherlands in February this year. No less than 1,089 new 01’s were registered and with that the Chinese SUV accounted for a market share of 3.9 percent. AutoWeek can now tell you which electric car caused the RDW the most work.
Just like in January, the Tesla Model Y was the most popular new electric car in the Netherlands. There were 653 new copies registered in February, 33 percent more than in January. In second place we find the ever-popular electric versions of the Volvo XC40. The Volvo XC40 Recharge Electric was good for 520 registrations in February, about 24 percent more than in January.
The Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric seems to be gaining popularity. The electric Frenchman was fifth in January with 236 registrations, but claims third place in February with 387 registered copies (+64 percent). More new copies of the Peugeot e-208 were registered in February than in January, but because more new copies of other models were delivered, the electric 208 drops from third place to fifth place.
