Irmscher can’t resist
The Tesla Model Y was the most popular Tesla in Europe in January. The Model Y is not only popular with EV drivers, the tuners guild has also discovered this electric car. This time it is none other than the German tuner Irmscher who optically adjusts the Tesla Model Y and even gives it a grille.
You probably know Irmscher mainly as a tuner who likes nothing more than giving Opel models a thicker appearance. However, Irmscher also has an eye for cars from other brands. For example, it recently overhauled the Fiat 500C and even the Volkswagen ID Buzz did not escape an Irmscher treatment. This time it is the Tesla Model Y that undergoes a treatment from Irmscher.
Almost all of the Opel models that Irmscher modified in recent decades were fitted with an Irmscher-typical grille, complete with both horizontal and vertical slats and a logo that is conspicuous by its absence. Of course, such a grille does not have much to look for on an electric car, but Irmscher still gives the Tesla Model Y an element that should suggest that it is a grille.
Irmscher also fills the Tesla Model Y with an adapted front bumper, side skirts and a rear bumper that, together with the complete rear of the car, keeps it under wraps for a while. The German tuner also speaks of a roof spoiler and a diffuser, but we do not see those either. The Model Y stands on Heli Star baptized 20-inch alloy wheels, gets stainless steel door sills, special floor mats and special leather upholstery. There do not seem to be any technical adjustments.
