Tesla recall: 135,000 Models S and X back to garage

Tesla is recalling a total of 135,000 units of the Model S and Model X in the United States. There could be a problem with the multifunction display on the center console on these cars. Let that just be an essential part in the two Teslas.

The 135,000 Tesla’s Model S and Model X that must pass the garage in the United States were all produced between 2012 and 2018. The cars are said to be equipped with Nvidia hardware that could potentially cause problems. In any case, the Nvidia chips are related to the central display that houses not only audio and navigation, but also many other functions. For example, it could happen that the reversing camera does not work or that the autonomous driving system Autopilot works less well.

Techzle is awaiting a response from Tesla Netherlands to the question whether copies of the Model S and Model X should also visit the garage in the Netherlands. We will keep you informed.
